MARKS USA Custom Lockset Division Adds Allure To The Brompton
MARKS USA Custom Lockset Division brings a unique design to The Brompton in New York City. The Custom Lockset Division manufactured solid brass, nickel-plated leversets for this twenty-two story luxury condominium located in Manhattan's Upper East Side. The use of such an unusual design was only fitting for a building as sophisticated and unique as The Brompton.
Designed by Robert A.M. Stern architects, LLP, âThe Brompton'sâ™ red brick and limestone facade is gothic inspired. Registered with the U.S. Green Building Council in anticipation of LEED silver certification, The Brompton is energy efficient and uses sustainable building materials and is designed to conserve water. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a nationally accepted organization for design, operation and construction of high performance green buildings, both environmental- and health-standards compatible. The MARKS USA Custom Lockset Division locksets were chosen in part for the project as they are manufactured from metals using mixes of virgin and 10% recycled metals (post consumer) to reduce environmental impacts from extracting and processing virgin materials.
Marks USA, A NAPCO Security Group Company, was founded in 1977 to manufacture mortise locks and meet the needs of the growing security hardware market. Since then, the product line has been expanded dramatically. Products include architectural grade, BHMA & UL code compliant life safety, mortise, cylindrical and tubular locksets, electronic âfree standingâ access control, biometric fingerprint locksets, ornamental iron locksets, deadbolts, locks for woven wire and patented HI-SECURITY⢠Cylinders.
